Birtíngur is the largest magazine publishing company in Iceland. Birtíngur publishes Nýtt Líf, Mannlíf, Vikan, Séð & Heyrt, Gestgjafinn, Hús & híbýli, Júlía and Sagan Öll.

A vast majority of the material is produced in-house along with increased co-operation with international publishing houses. All the magazines are first class and are very popular within the Icelandic culture. From the 12th of February 2012, all of Birtíngur publishing operations will be based at Lyngás 17, Gardabaer, Iceland.

The Chairman and largest shareholder in Birtingur is Mr. Hreinn Loftsson, Supreme Court Attorney. Mr. Sverrir Arngrimsson is manager of finance and Mr. Karl Steinar Óskarsson is manager of operations. Together they form the executive board of Birtíngur.
