Birtíngur is the largest magazine publishing company in Iceland. Birtíngur publishes Nýtt líf, Mannlíf, Vikan, Séð og Heyrt, Gestgjafinn, Hús og híbýli, Júlía and Sagan öll.

A vast majority of the material is produced in-house along with increased co-operation with international publishing houses. All the magazines are recognised for their excellent quality and are the most popular and best selling magazines in Iceland. From the 12th of February 2012, all of Birtíngur publishing operations will be based at Lyngás 17, Gardabaer, Iceland.

The Chairman and majority shareholder in Birtingur is Mr. Hreinn Loftsson. Mr. Sverrir Arngrimsson is manager of finance and Mr. Karl Steinar Óskarsson is manager of operations. Together they form the executive board of Birtíngur.
